We’d heard rumours of a place in Surry Hills that served jazz alongside an occasional art exhibition opening. Last Thursday night we found ‘the Grove’, the jazz, and some fantastic art. Jessica Bradford and Beth Josey were the focus of the evening and their very different styles worked well in the space. Both artists showcased collections from their back-catalogues which gave a great insight into the evolution of their respective practices.
The intimate space was relaxed and very cool, with intervals of jazz from some of Sydney’s best musicians. This venue is well worth a visit – you’ll just have to find someone to take you there…
Consider yourself invited! We’ll let you know next time we head along.
Brilliant looking exhibition and very curious to check out the space. Will have to hold out for an invite.
