Crush It and Snort It was a showcase of new works from Simon Lovelace. The series featured Lovelace’s signature appropriations from pop culture, advertising and anime painted on the cover of a cloth-bound hardcover book. Each composition was inspired by the book’s title. A twisted sense of humour brought new life to old tales. Awww.
The warm glow of Salerno Gallery was particularly inviting on a cold, dark winter night. The crowd came in waves to check out the exhibition, enjoy the space and support the artist.
The exhibition had a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it 4 day run. However you can check out the catalogue on the Gallery’s website here.
