Ever wondered if commercial photographers could still appreciate photography as art? How about create art? We have. So we headed to the opening of Collective 01 at Kaleidoscope Gallery. There was plenty of artists in this group show: Robin Sellick, Fiona Wolf, Toby Burrows, Graham Monro, Liz Ham, Ingvar Kenne, Sean Izzard and Simon Bernhardt. These are commercial photographers who are far from jaded by their commercial ventures.
The exhibition was a great collection of personal projects. The works centered around portraiture, some were humorous, others confronting, all were beautiful and mysterious.
