M2 Gallery, we finally made it! We’ve been meaning to visit this spot on Elizabeth St for a while and it, well, hasn’t happened. Until now!
Rising was an exhibition from The Tattoo Movement, an international group of tattoo artists led by Deepak Siamese IV. Rising featured work from Deepak Siamese IV, Ruben Alvarez and Ash Faulkner. The exhibition featured paintings and drawings showcasing their signature styles. There was a heavy focus on traditional Japanese designs and religious iconography. One of the highlights of the show was the pin board at the back of the room covered in custom transfers. It was very cool.
The opening was not only an opportunity to show off some of the 3 artists’ skills, it was also their public launch party. The Tattoo Movement have opened up a studio in Rozelle. So if you’re in the market for some ink…
