We returned to Glebe’s Salerno Gallery for our first outing for a group show sequel, Face Apart 2, which followed a successful show last year at Salerno.
Artists EARS, Bennett, Phil James, Takie, Gerald Leung, Phil Williams and Lauren Lau presented portraits across a wide-ish range of styles. Lauren Lau’s recycled work was beautiful and left us pining for more. Phil James’s figurative portrait seemed to be the crowd fave.
These are some very talented and popular artists and so Salerno was packed. People were spilling out onto the sidewalk into the sun, it was a perfect art evening. What a start to 2013.
